Welcome to the El Camino Baptist Church blog. We wanted a place where our ministry leaders could share things that God has laid on their hearts. Please feel free to comment and join in the discussion as we share how God is moving through His church.Other places to find us on the web are our website, Youtube, and Facebook. The Sovereignty of God

Yesterday was a day off for the school children in our Good News Clubs. We invited them to El Camino for a Fall Fun Day. We believed God was leading us to provide an extended period of time discipling them and developing deeper relationships with them.

Two of our students brought a family member; a cousin in middle school and a sister in high school. When the gospel was presented, these two girls were riveted on the presentation. I didn't get a chance to speak with the high schooler yet, but the middle schooler, who said she had heard the gospel once before, understood it this time and prayed to receive Jesus as her Savior.

This clueless servant is so thankful and feels incredibly blessed that God is Sovereign. We meant the day for discipleship. He meant, at least part of the day, for the salvation of at least one very precious soul, maybe more. We will continue to provide opportunities for outreach and discipleship as God leads. Thank you Lord for using these times for Your Glory! Thank you that You know everything and that You engineer situations to accomplish Your will. And thank You that You let us see a bit of what You are doing. What a gift and a blessing!
